Smart lighting controls in Egypt
This category holds the bypass modules that make dimming work properly. Modern LED lamps draw so little current that a dimmer cannot always sense the load, causing flicker, glow when off, or refusal to switch.
A bypass gives the dimmer a small dummy load, which resolves it.
When you need one
- Flickering at low brightness — the most common symptom of an undersized load.
- Lamps glowing when switched off — leakage current with no path to ground.
- Few LED lamps on a circuit — one or two low-wattage bulbs is where this appears.
The bypass fits at the lamp or in the ceiling rose, in parallel with the load. If your dimmed lights already behave correctly you do not need one. Priced in EGP.
